In these Tai Chi Qigong sessions we enjoy a variety of flowing gentle movements like dances, called Forms, to keep and mind active and engaged.
These movements may improve balance, sleep & flexibility while also easing joints
Always at your own pace and some people sit and rest when needed

In these de-stressing relaxing sessions,
I use Tai Chi Qigong movements to teach correct body alignment to aid joint, neck and spine discomfort.
The first part of each session includes a learning theme where we explore a movement or concept. I work with you to help you to work within your own body.
The second part of the session is moving meditation. I lead you through a set of repeated movements to help you to relax and de-stress.
Those with fatigue, fibromyalgia, M.E. & similar are welcome to come and learn how to move without effort and work towards rebuilding well-being
A space to feel accepted while navigating the roller coaster of life
A place for adults to be supported while taking responsibility for their own
well-being and wish to help themselves

Gentle repeated, easy to follow, Tai Chi Qigong movements to relax and de-stress the mind and ease the body. These movements can be described more as standing Tai Chi breathing exercises so suitable for everyone of all ages and abilities including those who may need to sit for all or most of the session.

I am returning to my roots & will be teaching Traditional Tai Chi Forms offering monthly classes on Sunday mornings
Open to everyone & will offer a different side to Tai Chi than the standing Shibashi Qigong sets
Stick, Fan, Silk & Form Qigong sets and similar exercises will be taught alongside to support learning the Forms.
The sessions aim to be fun as well as providing valuable learning for our brain and body, while also offering a relaxing experience

There are many reasons to book an occasional private lesson
You may already experience discomfort in your joints, back, shoulders, neck, knees and want to know how to help yourself and be shown the correct way to stand, sit and move
You may feel anxious about joining a group class and want a private lesson to boost your confidence
You may want personal tuition to gain deeper learning for yourself
You may have learned on-line and want to check your technique and understanding
You may be running classes of your own but want to continue your own development

WHAT IS A HOLISTIC SESSION?
This is a different type of class
I offer a holistic approach to well-being
but what does this really mean?
I aim to help people who want to help themselves
but dont quite know where to start
I aim to help people who may be experiencing discomfort in their
joints, back, shoulders, neck, knees
but need help to understand how to make adjustments and changes to ease their body and improve flexibility & balance
I look at you as a whole person and the connections between all of your joints
I do not look at individual parts of your body in isolation
I aim to help people who find traditional exercise exhausting but know that they need to move their body. This is typical for M.E, Long Covid, Burn Out and more
I aim to help people to rebuild their own well-being and find their inner spark
WHAT HAPPENS IN A HOLISTIC SESSION?

Simple & practical suggestions to help you to make the life changes that you need
We start by standing together in front of the mirrors, looking at the way we stand, move & sit
I explain what I see and explore the impact this is having on our physical & emotional health
I explain the adjustments that are needed and help you to devise a plan to implement the changes in a way that works into your current life and does not become an additional stress of chore
I listen to what you tell me but I am not just listening to the words I also listen to 'how' you sound. There are so many clues to what we may be experiencing in our body that relate to stress and emotion.
I can pick some of this up from the way you talk to me
I may suggest a gentle Tai Chi Qigong health movement to do at home, which is specifically for your personal physical, emotional & mental needs
We will practice this together & you can record me on your phone
I will give you 'homework' so you can help yourself
I will suggest that you can continue to rebuild your well-being by attending a small group Tai Chi Qigong class
WHAT MAY TAKE AWAY FROM A HOLSTIC SESSION?
An understanding of why you have pain/discomfort in certain areas of your body
An understanding of what you can do to help yourself, and how, which brings hope and empowerment as well as an emotional and mental boost
